Thank You to Everyone Who Made the Green Dot Ball a Success!

On Monday October 6, 2008, Green Dot Public Schools hosted our Second Annual Green Dot Ball at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. Guests were treated to delicious food catered by Wolfgang Puck, were entertained by talented singer-song writer Josh Kelly, and enjoyed a fabulous evening under the stars.

We honored two outstanding members of the Los Angeles community as our Champions of Great Public Schools: Monica Garcia, President of the Los Angeles School District Board of Education, and Dr. David Lizarraga, President and CEO of TELACU Millennium, and Founder and Chairman of the TELACU Education Foundation. Their lifelong devotion to improving education has greatly improved the educational opportunities for all of the students in Los Angeles.
