School Counseling Overview
The Green Dot School Counseling program is a comprehensive model that focuses on the five competencies of college, leadership, life, school site responsibilities, and parent and community engagement. Counselors at Green Dot Public Schools are responsible for providing counseling and guidance services to all students, with a particular emphasis on preparing students for college. This includes ensuring that students have taken the necessary coursework to fulfill the California State University and University of California A-G requirements and the appropriate college entrance exams, and assisting the students in completing their college applications.
