Enrollment Criteria:

Admission to Animo Leadership Charter High School is open to any student in California. Animo Leadership will not charge students tuition and does not discriminate based on ethnicity, national origin, gender, disability, religious, or political beliefs.

Students will also be admitted based upon the openings per grade at each enrollment session. A lottery may be conducted if the number of completed applications exceeds the openings available. Applicants not accepted at the time of the lottery will be wait-listed according to lottery number and admitted pending openings. Subsequent applicants will be wait-listed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

It is understood that once admitted into Animo Leadership, students will be allowed to re-enroll for the following year as long as they are in good standing. Preference is extended to students who reside in the Lennox School District as per the charter school legislation. Preference will also be given to sibling(s) of students currently attending the school. For this preference families must be in good standing with volunteer hours and debts and siblings must turn in the application by due dates.

Application Checklist

Each applicant is asked to submit a complete application packet. A completed application packet includes:

  • Application Form
    • Demographics
    • Student Essays
    • Parent Essays
    • Sign Parent Letter
    • Authorization to release student records
    • Copy of Immunization Records
  • Grading Information
    • Copy of Last Report Card
    • Test Scores (STAR,CST,CAT6)
    • Copy of most recent IEP
  • Mandatory Interview and tour with administration held in February 2007.

Incomplete applications will not be part of the drawing if lottery is conducted.
