“A new study from a nationally-recognized research center found significant progress among the first group of inner city high school students attending all four years at a campus run by Green Dot Public Schools in Los Angeles… overall, Green Dot graduated significantly more students than did comparison LAUSD schools. Of the Green Dot Locke students persisting to graduation, 48 percent of the students tracked in the study completed the A-G requirements – those courses considered necessary for entrance into California’s UC system – as compared to 13 percent of graduating students at other area high schools. Across all of the outcome indicators included in the study, even when the results were not significantly different, Green Dot students performed as well as or better than their comparison students.”
