About Us

Ánimo Venice Charter High School is a college preparatory high school located in Los Angeles, California. It serves students near the community of downtown Los Angeles. The school serves families from a wide cross-section of the racial, cultural, and socioeconomic spectrum. Our charter was approved by the Los Angeles Unified School District and the school currently has students enrolled from grades 9 through 12.

Ánimo is a Spanish word which means “vigor, mind, spirit, valor, and the courage to overcome odds”, and embodies Green Dot Public Schools’ commitment to student success.
