Graduation Requirements

The following are the requirements for graduation that all students must meet by June of 2012 in order to earn a diploma and graduate from Ánimo Inglewood: 

1. Course Work and Credit Units

Complete all course requirements and have the minimum number of credit units. 160 Core Academic Courses (UC/CSU A-G courses) and 80 Ánimo electives for a total of at least 240 credit units. Below are the required A-G core credits

History/Social Science (including Govt/Econ) - UC/CSU Requirement A-30 c.u.

English - UC/CSU Requirement B-40 c.u.

Mathematics - UC/CSU Requirement C-30 c.u.

Science - UC/ CSU Requirement D-20 c.u.

Language other than English - UC/CSU Requirement E-20 c.u.

Visual and Performing Arts - UC/CSU Requirement F-10 c.u.

College Prep Elective - UC/CSU Requirement G-10 c.u.

2. Parent Service Hours

Parents owe 35 parent service hours for each year their child was enrolled at RBCHS.

3. Pass the California High School Exit Exam

4. College Applications

Every student must show proof that he or she completed three university applications. Students must bring proof of acceptance or denial. Incomplete applications will not be accepted! Acceptable forms for proof of application include: college correspondence via letter, e-mail, or online printout indicating acceptance or denial of admissions.

5. Student Community Service Hours

Students must complete 40 community service hours before graduation. These hours are to be turned into advisory teachers before the end of the school year.

6. Discipline Sign-off

Serve all detentions and suspensions and clear all disciplinary obligations.

7. Financial Debt to School

Students/Parents must pay all financial debts and service hours owed to the school.
