Teachers have posted their own projects on DonorsChoose.org, a website that connects teacher projects with donors.  You can look through the projects and find ones that interest you, and donate directly to them.  

And now, your donation will go twice as far.  The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has pledged to fund 50% of all college-readiness programs for low-income schools- meaning projects at every Green Dot school qualify.  So with the help of the Gates Foundation, your donation will be twice the size!
