Ms. Alicia Mejia is looking forward to working with the students and staff at Animo Watts II as Parent Coordinator. Ms. Mejia grew up in Los Angeles, and graduated from Alain Leroy Locke High School, prior to the Locke Transformation. She is currently attending East Los Angeles Community College as a freshman. She intends to transfer to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) as a an English major, with an emphasis in Education. Ms. Mejia is a strict vegetarian, and has a soft spot for the environment and for animal rights.

![]() Ms. Delgado was born and raised in Los Angeles, and is very excited about having the opportunity to give back the community that served her when she was growing up. She completed by bachlors degree in American Studies at UC Berkeley and moved to the east coast to complete her masters in Counseling and Gudiance at New York University! Her most memorbale moment while living in New York was walking across the Brooklyn Bridge with her mom. Ms. Delgado loves football and my favorite food is sushi. At Animo Watts II she wants to serve as resource to our school community as well as provide guidance and support for our students in order for them to achieve to their highest potentenial |

![]() Mr. Lynch holds a Bachelor's Degree of Arts in Philosophy with an empahsis and minor in History. Currently earning his Master's of Education and concurrently obtaining a Secondary Social Science Teaching Credential. He has a strong background in education and has taught in both special education and general education classroom settings at the middle school and high school level.
Trained in CPR, First Aid, and Small Cooperative Activity Leadership Training Programs, Mr. Lynch aspires to pursue a career in politics and education, and is looking most forward to developing a solid athletics program for Animo Watts II and the greater Green Dot school district to come.

Ms. Salomone got her Bachelor's at Bay Path College in Longmeadow, MA and her Masters in Reading from American International College in Springfield, MA. She is an avid Vegan, however, hates spiders. She has 3 fantastic boys, all grown and on their own still living on the east coast. Ms. Salomone loves to quilt, bike, and hike. She moved to California in June 08 and already she knows she will never leave. |

A native of the Dominican Republic, she earned Bachelor’s in Foreign Languages, with an emphasis in French and Portuguese at the University of Puerto Rico, and also earned a Master’s in Multicultural Education from California State University Dominguez Hills. She previously taught Spanish language at Bellflower Unified School District. She enjoys sharing knowledge of Latin culture and Spanish language. Students can look forward to a year of interactive learning. |
![]() Emily Sommer earned her BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a major in Psychology and a minor in Women's Studies and her Masters in Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services credential from California State University, Long Beach. Miss Sommer was a school counselor at Locke High School for the School of Global Studies and then the School of Math and Science before becoming assistant principal of Ánimo Watts II. |
![]() Mr. Kueh graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a degree in Applied Mathematics and received his teaching credential from Cal State Fullerton. Prior to teaching, he worked as a software engineer in the Bay Area. His vocation in teaching started when he tutored students and coached MESA while working as a Netday Americorp member in Oakland. He looks forward to teaching algebra 1 in a dynamic school. |
![]() Gerard Besina graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor’s degree in Physiological Science and Master’s Degree in Education. He first taught at Locke High School in the Science Department for 5 years and most recently taught at the Paramount High School District. He is excited to return to the community of South LA to teach the science of life. |
![]() Jesus Jesse MartinezEmail: jesus.martinez@animo.comPosition/Subject(s): Art Teacher Grade(s) Taught: 10 Mr. Martinez has spent the last nine years working with elementary, middle, and high school students in Long Beach Ca. The last three of these years have been spent teaching a variety of subjects including drawing, painting, ceramics, and 3-D art; while at the same time producing and exhibiting personal art work. Mr. Martinez holds both a Bachelor's of Fine Arts Degree in Drawing and Painting and an Art Education Credential from California State University Long Beach. Mr. Martinez believes that, ""Life is the art of drawing without an eraser." (Pablo Picasso) |
